Integral Blinds for Windows & Doors
Cordless and motorised venetian blinds built into the sealed unit of your windows and doors. No dust, no cleaning, no fraying cords — just instant privacy and shade at the touch of a slider.
What are integral blinds?
The slats are raised, lowered and tilted using either a discreet magnetic slider on the outside of the glass, a wall switch, a handheld remote, or your phone via a home automation system. They are the ideal solution for bifold doors, sliding patio doors, French doors, bathrooms and bedrooms — anywhere conventional blinds would get in the way or look untidy.

Aluminium bifold doors — kitchen extension
Anthracite grey bifolds with white slat integral blinds. Slats tilt to control glare without losing the garden view.
Where integral blinds work best
Anywhere conventional blinds get in the way, get dusty, or look untidy. These are the rooms we fit them into most often.

Bifold & sliding doors
The number-one use. Conventional blinds mounted to the frame stop bifolds from stacking flat and rattle every time you open the door. Integral blinds sit inside the glass so the doors operate exactly as designed — clean sightlines, nothing in the way.

Bathrooms & en-suites
A sealed unit means no dust, no mildew and no fabric to absorb moisture. Tilt for privacy when you need it, fully open the rest of the time — much brighter and easier to live with than frosted film.

Bedrooms & home offices
Slats can close fully for early-morning darkness or tilt to deflect glare from screens. Ideal for awkward window shapes where curtain poles look wrong, and brilliant for hay-fever sufferers — no fabric, no allergens.
Choose your control system
Manual cordless, mains-powered motorised or fully smart-home integrated — every Eden Glass integral blind is built to suit how you live.

Cordless magnetic slider
A small slider runs up and down the outside of the glass on a magnetic guide — no cords, no batteries, nothing to wire in. The most popular option for bifolds, French doors and family homes with young children.

Wireless battery-powered
Rechargeable Li-ion battery hidden in the head-rail. Operate by handheld remote, wall switch or smartphone app. Perfect retrofit option where running mains cable to the frame is not practical.

Mains-powered motorised
Discreet 24V brushless motor wired into the frame during installation. Synchronise groups of blinds, set timed schedules, integrate with Loxone, KNX and most home-automation platforms.

Slimline pleated blackout
Honeycomb pleated fabric in a slim 16mm cavity — ideal for shallow rooflights, conservatory roofs and bedroom retrofits. Choose dim-out for nurseries or true blackout for media rooms.
Details That Matter
Sealed inside the glass
Blinds sit between the panes — no dusting, no tangled cords, no wear.
Cordless and child-safe
Magnetic or motorised operation with no looped cords, in line with BS EN 13120.
Tilt, raise or lower
Control light and privacy through the day without touching a cleaning cloth ever again.
Are integral blinds right for you?
Obscured glass could well be the right choice if…
- You have bifold or sliding patio doors and want privacy and shade without anything obstructing the opening
- You hate cleaning blinds, or you have hay-fever, asthma or pets and want a fully dust-free solution
- You have young children or pets and need a cord-free, finger-safe blind that meets UK child-safety regulations
- You want one consistent look across every window and door in an extension or new build
- You want app, remote or voice control of your blinds as part of a smart home
Obscured glass might not be for you if…
- You already have brand-new windows and the glass is still in warranty — integral blinds are fitted as part of a new sealed unit, not retrofitted into existing glass
- You love the soft fabric look of curtains or roman blinds — integral blinds are crisp aluminium slats or pleated fabric inside the pane
- You need the very cheapest privacy solution — for a single bathroom window, an obscured pane is usually less expensive
